My enthusiasm for health and fitness started at a young age. I began dance and gymnastics in my early years and continued with dance throughout college. I always had a passion for helping others and pursued a Masters of Science degree in Occupational Therapy and later, a Certification in Personal Training. I currently work as a practicing OT in an outpatient sports medicine clinic focusing on rehabilitating orthopedic injuries of the upper extremity and train part-time at my in-home studio.
My goal as an occupational therapist is to help patients across the lifespan safely and independently participate in the things they want and need to do. My goal as a personal trainer is to help clients achieve better health through values and motivation using safe and effective training methods. With the integration of occupational therapy, personal training, and a thorough knowledge of the function of the human body as it relates to exercise, I am able to create workout programs that are goal specific — challenging while safe — and enjoyable.
In my free time I enjoy boating, traveling with my husband, cooking, playing the piano, and wine (don’t judge on that last one, because wine has healthy benefits!).
